Bodde tight-lipped on future

Ferrie Bodde is remaining tight-lipped over his Swansea future having already infuriated new boss Paulo Sousa after failing to return for pre-season training. The Dutchman has long-since been linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium and did little to quell such talk when he failed to report for the club's first training session on Monday. It has been reported Bodde has been fined by his paymasters after drawing criticism from both Sousa and Swans chairman Huw Jenkins. Bolton have had two bids, in the region of £2.5million, turned down for the 27-year-old but it is thought Gary Megson's interest has waned following his capture of Sean Davis. Bodde has reportedly apologised privately for his ill-discipline with regards missing pre-season training, but is remaining tight-lipped over his indiscretion. He told the Western Mail: "A lot of people are using my name in newspapers and I do not wish to add to that right now. "I may be able to say something tomorrow." It is widely believed new Wigan incumbent and former Swans boss Roberto Martinez is weighing up whether to bid to take Bodde with him to the JJB Stadium.
