irmingham have dropped their interest in Wigan's Charles N'Zogbia after deciding against upping their rejected bid of £8million plus add-ons.[LNB] Wigan are thought to want approximately £15million for the French winger, but Birmingham chief executive Peter Pannu says the St Andrew's side are not going to pay over the odds.[LNB]"We have had an offer rejected for the player and our valuations are different," he told the Express and Star. "We don't think it's right to go any higher at this stage so therefore we withdraw."[LNB]N'Zogbia has had an excellent season at the DW Stadium, after he was snapped up by Wigan in a £6million swap-deal from Newcastle in January last year.[LNB]Birmingham have already spent a combined £12million on goalkeeper Ben Foster from Manchester United and tall striker Nikola Zigic from Valencia. [LNB]If they spend another £5million they will have splashed more cash than the last three transfer windows combined.[LNB]Meanwhile, it appears Rangers' Kris Boyd is not heading to St Andrew's as Alex McLeish's interest has reportedly cooled.
