Alcaraz: The goal was mine

Wigan defender Antolin Alcaraz has no intention of relinquishing Saturday's equalising goal against Sunderland. The goal which earned the Latics a 1-1 draw in the Barclays Premier League match at the DW Stadium came courtesy of him deflecting home a Tom Cleverley shot. However, Alcaraz is in no doubt who should be given credit for the goal as he said: "It was definitely my goal. Tom's volley was good but it's mine to keep. "The most important thing, though, was that we took something out of the game." Sunderland played the majority of the game with 10 men after former Wigan midfielder Lee Cattermole was sent off for two yellow cards. And Alcaraz added: "One point is better than nothing - although I still feel we should have got the other two. It was definitely two points lost."
