Paraguay hero Antolin Alcaraz insists he has no regrets about committing to Wigan despite his stock already rising with his goal against Italy.[LNB] The defender, who will join Latics from Club Brugge after the World Cup, headed his country in front in Cape Town last night.[LNB]While Italy levelled to draw 1-1 through Daniele De Rossi, their failure to hold on did not take the gloss off Alcaraz's big night.[LNB]"It's the most beautiful day of my life," he said.[LNB]He insists he has no regrets about signing with Wigan rather than waiting to put himself in the shop window in South Africa.[LNB]"I have a good contract with Wigan, I'm glad I'm going to the Premier League," he said.[LNB]"I talked to the coach Roberto Martinez and have a good feeling so I don't doubt my choice now."[LNB]With Group F games against Slovakia and New Zealand to come, Paraguay are confident of progression to the last 16.[LNB]"I'm just happy for the team," said Alcaraz. "I think we can do something in this group. This point is obviously very important."[LNB]Team-mate Lucas Barrios believes that, in theory, playing their toughest game first should make the rest of the group easier.[LNB]"The next match will be a bit different," said the striker. "We'll still try to score but it should be a bit easier for us. Considering it's a World Cup, though, you never know what's going to happen. We want three points in the next match."
