Alcaraz could escape Latics' grasp

Paraguay defender Antolin Alcaraz may not be on his way to Wigan after all after his fine performance at the World Cup "complicated things".[LNB] The Latics announced that they had sealed a deal with Alcaraz prior to the World Cup, with the Club Brugge player expected to move to the DW Stadium on a Bosman free transfer.[LNB]But now Alcaraz, who was very impressive for his country at the World Cup finals, has revealed that he has offers from Italy, Spain and Germany.[LNB]The 27-year-old defender admitted that although he signed a pre-contract with Wigan he is now considering his options.[LNB]"Yes, there is a prelimary agreement that we signed, but there is the possibility that we can realise other options," Alcaraz told Paraguayan sports radio station 780.[LNB]"In fact at this point I don't know where I am going. Obviously, my performance at the World Cup has complicated things.[LNB]"I want to do the best for me. There have been offers made, but for now I cannot talk about them as nothing is signed yet.[LNB]"At the moment, all the teams that have showed an interest have a chance of signing me."
