Ronnie Stam wants to stay at Wigan and force his way back into the first team rather than join PSV Eindhoven on loan, according to his agent.[LNB] The Dutch right-back has been linked with a return to the Eredivisie after dropping out of favour with manager Roberto Martinez in the second half of last season. [LNB]Reports in the Dutch media suggest PSV have tried to sign Stam on loan but the Latics have told them they will only let the 27-year-old make a permanent move. [LNB]However Stam's agent, Chiel Dekker, says the defender, who is contracted at the DW Stadium until June 2013, has no immediate plans to leave the Premier League club. [LNB]"It all depends on whether Ronnie will start playing again," Dekker told NUSport. [LNB]"If he gets a new chance and more minutes of play, then he is at the right place in Wigan. [LNB]"He wants to stay in the Premier League. [LNB]"If it looks like he will not be getting much playing time, then a transfer to PSV is an option. But it won't happen earlier than that." [LNB]Stam joined Wigan from PSV's Dutch rivals FC Twente last summer and notched up 29 appearances in his debut season.
