West ham to make 15m bid for liverpool striker
West Ham United have made an ambitious move to sign Liverpool and England striker Andy Carroll on a season long loan with a view to a £15million switch next summer.
ESPN & the Daily mail have confirmed that Sam Allardyce is keen to link up the England front man and former team mate Kevin Nolan.
Carroll, who has scored 11 goals in 59 appearances for Liverpool, has not said that he wants to leave Merseyside but may struggle for regular starts in Rodgers’ new look Liverpool side.
One thing to note is that the style in which Allardyce sets up his teams to play is very much suited to Carroll's game, where as in the fluid pass and move game style that Brendan Rogers is trying to bring to Anfield the 23year old would surely struggle to adapt.
But, They may face a battle to secure a deal — not least from the player himself as Carroll would rather stay at Liverpool and fight for his place, and prove he can adapt to Rogers style of play.
