Tevez unsure on future
08 Apr 2007 - 13:53:21
Argentina international Carlos Tevez has hinted that he could stay at West Ham United for at least one more season.
The 23-year-old moved to Upton Park last August in a controversial deal that also saw Javier Mascherano arrive at the club.
Both players struggled at first with the Hammers and Mascherano has since moved on to Liverpool but West Ham have a 'right-to-buy' clause in Tevez's contract, if they stay in the Premiership.
Tevez has played a pivotal role in the club's recent revival - they have won their last three matches to improve their chances of beating the drop.
He has scored three goals in the last four games, although he failed to find the net in the shock 1-0 win at Arsenal.
"I don't know what will happen next season as it depends on many things," Tevez told the Daily Star.
"The main thing is to save my team from relegation. People are supporting me on the field and in the streets. For that alone it would be good to stay here for many years."
