Tevez agent targets Real

West Ham United's hopes of keeping Carlos Tevez have been hit by the news that the Argentina striker's agent claims he is holding out for a move to Real Madrid.

Tevez, whose original signing last summer resulted in the Hammers being fined £5.5million for breaching Premier League rules, has been linked with a host of Europe's leading clubs since the end of last season.

Hammers chairman Eggert Magnusson is desperate to keep last season's talisman at the club, but his efforts to keep Tevez could well be in vain should agent Adrian Ruocco seal a move to the newly-crowned Spanish champions.

Tevez, who has been linked with Chelsea, Inter Milan and Juventus, netted six times in the last seven games of last season to help keep the Hammers in the Premier League.

"There's been contact with Real Madrid," Ruocco told The Sun.

"We've been patient but if Real don't make a concrete offer then Carlos has a lot of options.

"He has offers from Europe's biggest clubs. But there's no need to rule out anything - including staying at West Ham where he is settled and wanted."
