Poor form a concern for Zola

Gianfranco Zola has admitted he is seriously concerned by West Ham United's form after they slipped to a fourth defeat in five games at the hands of Everton.

The Hammers had looked all set for victory against the goal-shy Merseysiders after substitute Jack Collison had given them a deserved lead with his first senior goal for the club.

But three goals in a stunning seven-minute spell denied he home side a morale-boosting victory and left them just two points clear of the drop-zone.

"It's very difficult to accept," said Zola. "It is not the first time we've spoilt a good job in the last ten minutes of a game. It is something that concerns me very much.

"The only thing I can say right now is that we need to find a solution. It is just a pity we spoiled 80 good minutes in the last ten.

"Maybe I have to give something more because the Premier League is punishing.

"We are aware of the situation we are in but we don't have to panic. We have to look at the good things we are doing.

"We have to make sure we do the right things for 95 minutes. That's what I will be focusing on next week."
