Midfielder Mark Noble is targeting a first-team spot at West Ham, having just returned from a loan stint with Ipswich Town.
The 19-year-old has just ended a three-month stint with the Tractor Boys and had been a target for Norwich City, but Noble is determined to try and force his way into Alan Pardew's plans.
He commented: "I've come back to West Ham a better player, more mature, and I just want to carry on learning now that I'm back here.
"I think I'm ready to play in the Premiership if I get the opportunity, but I know that first I've got to work hard and perform in training to prove to the manager that I deserve a chance.
"Alan Pardew has told me to come back here and work hard to get myself an opportunity with the first team.
"If I get my chance, then I'll be determined to take it."
Noble has already made 27 appearances for the Hammers, making his debut as a 17-year-old in August 2004 in a Carling Cup clash with Southend United.
