Kovac could stay in England

Radoslav Kovac's agent has revealed there is interest in the midfielder from a Premier League club 'in the north of England'. The Czech Republic international moved to West Ham from Spartak Moscow in January and made nine appearances for the club. He has previously expressed a desire to remain at Upton Park on a permanent deal but such a move is not expected to go through, reportedly because Spartak are demanding too much money. However, Kovac's representative Viktor Kola maintains that his client could still stay in England rather than return to Russia. "Radoslav likes Moscow, the Spartak fans love him, but he would still like to stay in Britain, where there is interest in him from a Premier League team in the north of England," Kolar told Sport Express. Blackburn, Sunderland and Hull City are the clubs to have been linked with Kovac in the Russian media. Kolar added the Bundesliga was another possible destination for his player. "The German club Hannover have also asked [Spartak] about the conditions for a possible transfer," he stated. "As far as I know, the Russian club are intent on recouping no less than 3million euros (£2.6m) for Kovac. "It is still unclear whether in the current economic climate British or German clubs are able to pay so much."
