Inter move interests Tevez
12 Jun 2007 - 08:30:00
West Ham United striker Carlos Tevez would welcome the opportunity to sign for Serie A champions Internazionale.
The 23-year-old Argentina, who has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and Chelsea, is currently preparing for this month's Copa America in Venezuela.
After helping the Hammers avoid relegation from the Premiership, Tevez is almost certain to leave Upton Park this summer after spending less than 12 months in east London.
International team-mates Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz, Walter Samuel, Esteban Cambiasso, Javier Zanetti, Nicolas Burdisso, Mariano Gonzalez and Santiago Solari are all currently at Inter, and that could persuade Tevez to move to the San Siro.
"I know Inter is interested in me," said Tevez.
"It would be nice to play in Italy, especially in a team that has so many Argentinians.
"There will be some meetings, some discussions, but I really don't know anything official yet."
