Hate figure Lampard ready to make shock return to West Ham

Frank Lampard is on the verge of a shock deal to pull the West Ham shirt on again. The England midfielder has been a hate figure at Upton Park since leaving for London rivals Chelsea in 2001. Lampard faced his latest afternoon of abuse when he played in the 1-0 win at the Hammers on Saturday. He is credited with bringing through a huge number of stars at West Ham in recent times, including Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick and Lampard.
