Hammers deny Freddie talk

West Ham chairman Eggert Magnusson has rubbished rumours that the Hammers are lining up a move for Arsenal's Freddie Ljungberg.
Ljungberg's future with the Gunners has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, leading to talk of a transfer window move to Upton Park.
But Magnusson - who has already bankrolled the signings of Luis Boa Morte and Nigel Quashie for a combined £7million this month - insists the reports are pure speculation.
"We have not made an enquiry about Freddie Ljungberg," he said.
"The English press have been very busy linking us with players, but this is not true."
Ljungberg, 29, has also been linked with moves to the Gunners' north London rivals Tottenham Hostpur and various clubs in Italy's Serie A.
