Hammers bogey strikes again

Published: 08 Mar 2010 - 08:01:51

West Ham's rotten luck against Bolton Wanderers continued on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at home to fall behind the Trotters in the Premiership table. The Hammers were 2-0 down within 16 minutes following Kevin Davies unmarked header and on-loan Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere’s volley.  A late consolation goal from a lively Alessandro Diamanti was proved not to be enough for Gianfranco Zola’s side. "I'm disappointed,” Zola told the official site.  "I wasn't expecting that.  Nobody was.  The way we started the game determined the result. “They were better than us and took advantage of their opportunities.  In the second half it was difficult, we tried until the end but it's our fault and I have no complaints."
