    Freddie eyes Reds response

    03 Mar 2008 - 10:58:22

West Ham United midfielder Freddie Ljungberg is hoping for a response to Saturday's thrashing by Chelsea when they travel to Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Hammers suffered a 4-0 hammering at Upton Park to remain tenth in the Premier League table, but have an immediate opportunity to bounce back with a trip to Merseyside in midweek.

West Ham edged out Liverpool 1-0 at Upton Park in January courtesy of a 90th-minute Mark Noble penalty.

"It's another tough game at Liverpool," Ljungberg told the club's official website.

"I'm very disappointed with Saturday. We've been on the way upwards a bit and it was a sucker punch, so hopefully we can bounce back on Wednesday and play some good football. That's what we're looking for.

"They (Liverpool) did very well against Inter Milan (in the Champions League).

"Maybe they were struggling a little bit before that. They did very well in that game so we will have to wait and see."
