    Curbs hopes to push on

    03 Dec 2007 - 11:25:19

West Ham United manager Alan Curbishley is confident his side will start to move up the table now that the club's crippling injury list is showing signs of improving.

Scott Parker made only his second Premier League start for the club in the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea while Dean Ashton, Freddie Ljungberg and Lee Bowyer are all back in the first-team reckoning.

"I've said to the players 'the squad's getting a little bit stronger. People are going to come in and go out and we can't remain the same'," said the former Charlton Athletic manager.

"I've got one or two players coming back which is making the squad stronger.

"We'll now push on. Dean (Ashton) is probably okay, he's not far off it.

"I decided to play 4-3-3 at Chelsea and Carlton Cole was more suited to that as he showed.

"I've got Freddie Ljungberg back and Scott Parker has got through.

"The spirit they've shown has probably been borne on the fact they've all been put in there and they've all given everything they have got. The fans appreciate it as well because we've given it a bit of a go."
