Collison relishes Irons return

West Ham United midfielder Jack Collison was pleased to be back in action during his side's excellent 1-0 victory at Stoke City.

The 20-year-old Wales international had been sidelined for nearly two months by a dislocated kneecap, but returned to the fray late on in the game at the Britannia Stadium.

He told the club's official website: "Obviously it has been a bit of a long road for me, having two months out of the team.

"To be honest, it was nice just to be around the boys and part of it.

"Although I only got ten minutes on the pitch, it was a great feeling going out there, especially hearing all the fans and securing such a great result for us."
