West Ham United's January recruit Luis Boa Morte is hoping to play a full part in the club's battle to avoid the drop after recovering from a recent illness.
The 29-year-old Portugal forward has been plagued by a virus over the last month, before returning to action as a substitute in the 2-1 victory at Blackburn Rovers just over a week ago.
He told the club's official website: "It was really good to play against Blackburn and great to come on and for us to win. I was really happy even to play for five minutes.
"It's been really disappointing this month because I missed some games. I was sick, I had this horrible virus. I had a really high fever and I knew it wasn't good.
"Since I recovered I've just been trying to work hard and getting back to fitness.
"It's difficult to come to a new club and have to miss games almost straight away."
Boa Morte joined the Hammers in January from capital rivals Fulham, but has yet to find the net in eight appearances for the Upton Park outfit.
