Anton committed to Hammers

West Ham United centre-back Anton Ferdinand has tried to play down speculation linking him with a summer exit from Upton Park.

The 23-year-old has been linked with the likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but says he has not been made aware of any concrete interest.

He told Sky Sports News: "It's just speculation. Until I get back to London I don't know what's going on.

"For me personally, until Alan Curbishley says I'm not a West Ham player, then I'll be a West Ham player. I love playing for the club."

England Under-21 international Ferdinand has scored five goals in 163 appearances for the Irons to date, having made his debut in August 2003 against Preston North End.

Meanwhile, the Hammers have been linked with a move to sign Croatian striker Josip Tadic.

The 20-year-old currently plays his club football for Dinamo Zagreb, having returned to his homeland from a short stint with Bayer Leverkusen.
