West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker believes he has turned the corner following an injury-plagued start to life at Upton Park.
Parker, who was a £7million signing from Newcastle United last summer, made just two appearances in the opening four months of the campaign after being troubled by a knee problems.
The 27-year-old missed another two months around the turn of the year, but has been a virtual ever-present since March and believes he has finally put his injury woes behind him.
"I am pleased with how things have been going," he told the club's official website.
"Obviously coming back from long-term injury, a long time out, it has been very disappointing, but I feel that I've turned a corner regarding my injury.
"I just need games now. The season's coming to an end now but I'm glad I'm getting through the games. I feel I'm getting stronger with every one."
Meanwhile, Parker is hoping to end a disappointing season - both personally and for the Hammers - on a high with victory over Aston Villa.
Referring to last weekend's 4-1 defeat at Manchester United, he added: "We need to draw a line under this result and carry on the way were going.
"We need to go into the Villa game and try and pick up three points. We need to get tenth and that's what we're going to do.
"We're going to go into that game fully focused and hopefully get all three points."
