Wednesday end Brunt talks

Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed that Northern Ireland winger Chris Brunt has rejected the offer of a new contract from the Hillsborough club.
The 22-year-old's current deal runs out at the end of the 2007-08 season and he now looks certain to leave the club, having been linked with Fulham this summer.
Chief executive Kaven Walker told the club's official website: "Chris Brunt won't be extending his contract.
"We made him an extremely good offer to extend his contract, but his representatives put a proposal to Sheffield Wednesday that is a long way out of our scope.
"He will remain a Sheffield Wednesday player until the end of next season, but negotiations are now closed.
"The club don't want him to move on. He has said that he will give us 100 per cent and the manager believes that.
"We have made it clear to Chris' representatives we will not sell him this season."
Brunt has scored 25 goals in 152 appearances for Wednesday, having joined the Owls from Middlesbrough in March 2004.
