Valero finds feet for Baggies

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray believes that Spanish midfielder Borja Valero is starting to show his class in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has taken time to find his feet since joining the Baggies from Real Mallorca, but Mowbray is happy with the progress being shown by the talented playmaker.

He told the club's official website: "It is always something that was going to take time.

"I think it almost took Borja's breath away how intense and physical this league can be.

"I've seen him come off the pitch and looking shocked because he has never played in football which is so hectic.

"He has always played in football matches where generally they pass it and he can wonder around in midfield, make a few passes and link a few balls, come in behind the play and it is nice and easy.

"You either sink or swim in it, really, but there are signs Borja is growing into it.

"He is a clever footballer and I am more than happy with his contribution this year."
