Sodje extends Albion stay

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has opted to extend Sam Sodje's loan spell with the promotion-chasing Baggies.

The Reading defender will now remain at The Hawthorns until the end of the season, after successfully recovering from the ankle injury that forced him to limp out of the home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.

Sodje told Albion's official website: "I went for a header and the Sheffield Wednesday player landed on my ankle.

"But it looks good now so I should be fine for the next game.

"My first five games here have been up and down. Hopefully, we can now get some results together and go from there."
