Shrewsbury Town have snapped up West Bromwich Albion striker Stuart Nicholson on a season-long loan
The 20-year-old impressed last term while on loan at Bristol Rovers and Town boss Gary Peters is delighted with his new signing.
He told the club's official website: "He's a player I've been after for a long time and he can be a special player.
"We've got a year to impress Stuart and he's got a year to impress us and hopefully by the end of the year we could maybe make him our player.
"It all depends on how West Brom do, if they push on and look like they are getting back to the Premier League, then he might be someone we could get."
The Shrews moved for Nicholson after seeing Derek Asamoah quit the club to join French outfit Nice.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Ligue 1 club, having walked out on the Shrews this summer.
