West Brom defender Paul Robinson could miss Sunday's Premier League clash with Fulham so that he can be with his wife who is about to give birth to their third child.
Robinson missed the recent training trip to Spain to be with wife, Caroline, and admitted he could miss this weekend's vital match.
"We're hoping the baby is going to be here before the weekend but, if not, then I'll have to have my car driven down just in case," he said.
"My family will be up here at the weekend so Caroline will have that little bit more support, whereas it's difficult in the week.
"Our parents will be coming up to look after Caroline. If anything happens I might be shooting up the M40.
"I wanted to stay with my family rather than go to the Costa Del Sol last week and I simply didn't want to leave my wife at this time.
"I can come into the training ground this week and carry on with my training knowing I'm closer to her.
"The best thing in life is seeing the birth of your child so it was a decision that wasn't hard to make."
