Reid relishes Baggies stint

West Bromwich Albion loanee Steven Reid is hoping to make a big impact during his time at The Hawthorns.

The 28-year-old midfielder joined the Baggies ahead of their 3-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers, having struggled for a first-team spot at Blackburn Rovers.

He told the Birmingham Mail: "I just need to get out there and play football.

"It's been a difficult time. The manager (Sam Allardyce) has not seen too much of me in action and he's said there is still a part for me to play there, but I'm here now to play a part for West Brom.

"It's a chance for me to impress. My contract is up in June so this is a big move to me, I've got a lot to prove to people.

"I'm not here to chill out. This should be my peak, but it's not been over the last couple of years due to injuries. I just want to rediscover my past form."
