West Bromwich Albion striker Kevin Phillips has put new contract talks on hold until the end of the season.
The Baggies' 24-goal top-scorer is out of contract at the end of the current season but has put talks on ice so that he can concentrate on the club's efforts to reach the Premier League.
Phillips has been at The Hawthorns for two years following a £700,000 switch from Aston Villa.
"Kevin is very open minded, but at the moment we are at the business end of the season and we are at a stage where so much is riding on every game," agent Phil Smith told the Express & Star.
"We made the decision that we don't want to elongate the discussions any further for now."
