Phillips eyes Baggies deal

Veteran former England international Kevin Phillips is keen to sign a new contract with West Brom.

The 34-year-old striker found the net on his return to action after recovering from a knee ligament injury when coming on as a substitute in the 4-2 win against Charlton Athletic and now has 11 goals this season.

"I want to stay," Phillips told the club's official website.

"If I get a new deal, I get a new deal. If I don't, I'm sure someone will give me one. But I'd like to stay - simple as that."

Meanwhile, the promotion-chasing Baggies are being linked with a move for Czech Republic goalkeeper Michal Danek.
