No complaints from Mowbray
04 Jan 2009 - 11:58:58
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray accepted that his side had not deserved to reach the fourth round of the FA Cup, after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Peterborough.
The Baggies looked like edging through at The Hawthorns thanks to Jonas Olsson's goal, but their League One visitors secured a replay with an equaliser three minutes from time.
Mowbray admitted: "We can't have any complaints. They worked extremely hard and played to their strengths.
"They got a late equaliser and they do know how to chase a game and good luck to them.
"There was a different atmosphere in the stadium. The FA Cup probably doesn't reach the intensity of the Premier League and yet you've got to try to make that intensity on the football field.
"It is sometimes difficult for players with the stadium not full like it is every week. But take nothing away from them, I felt they deserved their replay.
"We will go to London Road again and try to get a positive result like the last couple of times we have been there."
