New Albion deal thrills Olsson

Vice-captain Jonas Olsson has penned a new long-term contract that will keep him with West Brom until the end of the 2012-13 campaign.

The 26-year-old Swede has become a stalwart in the Baggies side since moving to The Hawthorns from NEC Nijmegen in the summer of 2008.

"I am very happy about it," Olsson told Albion's official website. "It is the longest I have committed myself to any club in my career and that is an indicator that I am really happy here.

"I am really pleased with the club for giving me the chance last year and now for agreeing a new four-year deal with me. I am going to do my best to repay that confidence."
