Mowbray still fighting

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray insists the Baggies will not be throwing in the towel on their Premier League status. Sunday's 4-2 defeat at Manchester City means the rock-bottom side face a near impossible task of staying in England's top flight. The Baggies would realistically need to win all five of their matches to have a fighting chance of moving out of the drop zone. West Brom entertain Sunderland in their next fixture and Mowbray is just taking things one game at a time until they are mathematically relegated. "Why would we give in when we do not have to? We have a good chance of winning our next game," he stated. "I cannot gauge how other teams are going to do, so we will just play our matches and see what happens."
