Mowbray focuses on league

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray tried to play down the significance of his side's Carling Cup second round defeat at the hands of League One Hartlepool United.
The Baggies were beaten 2-1 at Victoria Park, but Mowbray was not too concerned after seeing his side start their league campaign in a positive fashion.
He said: "If you have seen our league action, our league action has been pretty good. We dominated an Everton side who finished fifth in the Premier League on Saturday.
"Any win is nice, but it wasn't to be tonight. We won't dwell on it too long, we move on.
"The Premier League is our bread and butter and we are looking forward to every game. We have started very well.
"As a manager, who realises it is 38 games, it is all about the performance for me and if we play as well as we have done, we will win games.
"Disappointment is the overriding factor, of course. They probably deserved the victory on the night and good luck to them.
"Our bread and butter is going to be the Premier League and we are trying to save one or two and make sure they are right for Sunday."
