Mowbray allays Koren fears

West Brom midfielder Robert Koren could face a race against time to be fit for the start of the Premier League campaign after jarring his knee in the pre-season friendly defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach. The Slovenian may have strained ligaments which could force him to miss most of Albion's pre-season campaign. "If it's anything it's a very slight medial ligament strain and we took precautions by taking him off," confirmed Baggies boss Tony Mowbray. "If it's a strain it will only be a few weeks out, but let's just wait and see. "He may not make Saturday's game but hopefully he'll be fine to continue preparations soon. "Nobody wants to get injured but Robert's fit and in good shape and that should speed his recovery."
