Morrison happy with Baggies
10 Jan 2009 - 09:49:26
West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison has pledged his long-term future to the club, following recent interest in him from Bolton Wanderers.
The 22-year-old Scotland international has been with the Baggies since the summer of 2007, having moved to The Hawthorns from Middlesbrough.
He has since clocked up 61 appearances, scoring eight goals for Tony Mowbray's side.
Morrison said: "It's been well documented that Bolton made an unsuccessful bid for me last week.
"It's always nice when someone recognises what you've been doing, but I'm really happy to stay here and I love playing for the Albion.
"Hopefully, I can be here for many years. Bolton's interest hasn't distracted me and I'm fully focused on playing for this club."
