Morrison grateful for rest
19 Feb 2009 - 11:09:46
West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison expects to be fit enough to play in Sunday's crunch Premier League encounter at Fulham.
The 22-year-old former Middlesbrough star has struggled with a hamstring problem recently and has started only three games since the turn of the year.
The Baggies star was forced to withdraw from Scotland's get-together at St Andrew's earlier this month because of the problem but thinks Albion's recent four-day training camp in Spain has helped him.
He said: "It's been a decent trip to Spain. The weather has been decent and the training's been good.
"It's also helped to bond the lads together ahead of the run-in to the end of the season.
"From my viewpoint, I've been able to take part in all the training sessions in Spain and I have had no problems.
"Touch wood, I'm over the injuries and will be OK for Sunday."
