Miller blow for Baggies
26 Nov 2007 - 11:00:00
West Bromwich Albion will be without Ishmael Miller for up to six weeks after the striker injured his knee during Sunday's goalless draw with Wolves.
The on-loan Manchester City forward picked up the problem towards the end of the Black Country derby and will be sidelined until the new year.
Miller has scored nine times in 15 appearances for the Championship club.
However, the Baggies have been boosted by the news that top-scorer Kevin Phillips has returned to training following his own knee problem which has kept him out since the beginning of the month.
"The initial signs from the medical department are that it's lateral knee ligament damage," manager Tony Mowbray told the club's official website.
