West Bromwich Albion beat the transfer deadline by a matter of minutes to sign Juan Carlos Menseguez on loan from Argentinian club San Lorenzo.
The 24-year-old winger joins the Baggies until the end of the season, with a permanent deal in place if he impresses at The Hawthorns.
Menseguez has previous experience in Europe from a three-year stint in Germany with Wolfsburg, scoring four times in just over 100 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
The South American is the second new arrival at Albion on transfer deadline day, with Paris St Germain midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu having also joined on loan until the end of the season.
Baggies boss Tony Mowbray had already brought in Arsenal striker Jay Simpson and Nancy frontman Marc-Antoine Fortune earlier on in the January transfer window.
