Martis reunited with Mowbray

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray has returned to his former club Hibernian to sign Shelton Martis in a £50,000 deal.

The central defender has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with the option of a further year, after passing a Hawthorns medical.

Mowbray told Albion's official website: "Shelton's a player I worked with at the start of last season in Scotland.

"He's got huge potential which is why I want to give him the platform to perform.

"He's not the finished article but I believe he could become a very good player for our football club."

The 24-year-old was initially signed by Mowbray last August from Darlington and played 34 games for Hibs last term.
