Koren calls Di Matteo truce

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Robert Koren has called a truce with manager Roberto Di Matteo following the side's FA Cup fifth round draw at Reading.

The Baggies grabbed a replay in the pulsating 2-2 stalemate at Madejski Stadium on Saturday and the winners face a quarter-final showdown with Crystal Palace or Aston Villa.

The Slovenia captain, who scored in the contest, had landed himself in hot water with his boss after a recent discipline issue.

He was substituted in the recent Championship game against Scunthorpe United and refused to shake the Italian's hand as he left the field.

This prompted Di Matteo to openly criticise Koren, but they have now made up.

Koren said: "We talked about it and the gaffer explained to me that he used the word 'selfish' in general.

"When the media asked him about me he said 'selfish', everybody thought he had called me selfish.

"We talked about it, but people know that I'm not selfish if they come to the games they will see I always try my best for the team.

"I'm looking to do my best for the team first and myself second."
