Ishmael Miller eyes loan move

West Brom striker Ishmael Miller believes he may need to go out on loan to gain match sharpness after a three month lay-off with a torn thigh muscle.
The former Manchester City player has been linked with temporary moves to Leicester and Ipswich since returning to fitness. He believes he will reap the benefits long term by going out on loan and playing regular first team football.
Miller said: "It's my view that I need to go somewhere just to get some football and play some games on the trot so that I can be ready for West Brom. I know it's going to be really tough for me to play unless I am fully fit."
He added: "A few clubs have been suggested and the main thing for me is to get fit in training and, if I need to go out on loan, to get match fit, so be it."
Miller has been dogged by injury problems for the past two seasons.
He was out for more than 12 months after a serious knee injury and then suffered the thigh muscle setback in pre-season training.
Miller faces stiff competition from Peter Odemwingie, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Roman Bednar with head coach Roberto Di Matteo generally favouring only one out-and-out striker.
