Hodgson unsure of survival

New head coach admits relegation is a possibility New head coach Roy Hodgson is under no illusions about his task of keeping Albion in the Premier League. The former Liverpool boss watched from the stands on Saturday as Albion threw away a three-goal lead at half time to draw against relegation rivals West Ham. That left Albion teetering on the edge of the relegation zone with only 12 games for Hodgson to turn the Baggies’ fortunes around. "This is a tough job - but what job isn't?" said the 63-year-old. "No-one wants to get relegated. "We don't want to get relegated, nor do the other teams around us. "We've got 12 games to make sure it is not us. "All the talking in the world won't make one iota of difference. "It's down to the players who are chosen to play and the results they achieve. "After 90 minutes of working with them today, and 90 minutes of watching them on Saturday, I can't answer the question of whether we will avoid relegation. "I don't know. I'd like to think so but it would be foolish of me to make bold statements. "I've seen West Brom on TV but this is a bit too short a sample to judge them on. "It probably does help having so many clubs in the relegation scrap. "I know the league is even tighter than normal. "But at the bottom I don't think it is tighter than usual. "There are normally four or five clubs involved."
