    Greening agrees Albion stay

    03 Aug 2007 - 15:47:16

West Brom midfielder Jonathan Greening has committed his long-term future to Albion by signing a three-year deal, with a further 12-month option in the club's favour.

The 28-year-old has been a regular in the Baggies side since his transfer from Middlesbrough three years ago, making 130 appearances for the club.

Albion boss Tony Mowbray told the club's official website: "I'm delighted Jonathan's committed his future to the club.

"At a time when things are changing around, it's great that a quality footballer has expressed a desire to remain here and hopefully help the club be successful.

"Jonathan possesses great quality on the ball and versatility with the amount of positions he can play.

"He's a joy to work with. He endeavours to do whatever you ask of him.

"Even when we've asked him to fill in at right-back, there were no complaints. He just got on with it."
