Greening: Baggies can survive

West Brom skipper Jonathan Greening is adamant the Baggies can beat the odds this season and maintain their Premier League status. The Baggies sit rock-bottom of the table with seven games of the campaign remaining and find themselves eight points adrift of safety. However, they are more aware than most of what it takes to stage a dramatic bid for survival having pulled off the Great Escape in 2005.Greening was part of that record-breaking side and he insists Tony Mowbray's men are capable of replicating that achievement."I was there for the Great Escape and I know how hard it is and what the rewards are like at the end of it," Greening told Sky Sports News."You have to dig in, Fulham did it last year - winning four out of five - and no-one thought they would do it, so why can't we?"It's always difficult, there's a lot of negativity around saying we are going to be relegated, but while there are points to be played for we need to give it 120 percent."The gaffer has been instilling in us all week that it starts Saturday against Portsmouth."It's a must-win game for us, no draws are allowed, and we have to go for the jugular and go for the three points and set up a massive game against Man City (on April 19)."
