Gera linked with Benfica move

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Zoltan Gera is reportedly wanted by Portuguese club Benfica.

The Hungary international is out of contract at The Hawthorns this summer and has already suggested he could quit the Baggies despite their promotion back to the Premier League.

Gera joined Albion in 2004 from Ferencvaros and has made over 150 appearances for Tony Mowbray's side.

"I am aware of Benfica's offer and I can only be glad," said the 29-year-old midfielder.

"I have other offers and I will wait for the best deal. I do not close the door on anyone."
