Gera agent cools exit talk

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Zoltan Gera's agent has played down reports in his native Hungary suggesting he will leave the Baggies despite their promotion to the Premier League.
The 29-year-old playmaker is out of contract at the end of the campaign and quotes attributed to him back in his homeland suggested a free transfer switch could be on the cards.
"I know the manager (Tony Mowbray) is keen to get this sorted quickly as he prepares for summer business," agent Sam Stapleton told the Birmingham Mail.
"So is Zoltan and so are we, but I'm afraid because of the regulations it is going to take a little bit longer.
"In reply to quotes taken from Hungary with regards to Zoltan, this has been slightly mis-translated.
"What Zoltan is saying is that he has wanted to get back into the Premiership. Zoltan is very happy at West Brom, it has become his home and he feels very much wanted there.
"If Zoltan chooses to leave West Brom it will be for an established Premiership side and an opportunity that cannot be missed, but at this stage we or Zoltan cannot say for sure what is happening as we cannot properly assess his options at this time."
