Dorrans pens new Baggies deal
04 Jan 2010 - 10:57:11
Winger Graham Dorrans has pledged his future to West Bromwich Albion after signing a new three-and-a-half year contract.
The Scotland international has been mentioned as a possible transfer target for several Premier League clubs, but is now under contract with the Baggies until summer 2013.
Dorrans is Albion's eight-goal joint leading scorer following an impressive first half of the Championship season.
"I've really enjoyed the season so far and I'm glad it's all sorted now so I can concentrate on playing," he told the club's official website.
"I came down from Scotland and got my chance here. I've broken into the team and managed to play most of the games this season.
"I now just want to keep playing and hopefully get the club back up."
Manager Roberto Di Matteo added: "It's fully deserved for the progress he has made this season.
"Graham is still learning but he's taking on board what we're telling him and we're now looking for him to remain consistent for the rest of the season."
