Dorrans pens new Albion deal
08 May 2009 - 11:37:48
West Bromwich Albion have handed Scotland midfielder Graham Dorrans a new three-year contract.
The 22-year-old has made just ten appearances for the Baggies in his first season at The Hawthorns, but manager Tony Mowbray believes he has a bright future at the club.
Dorrans joined Albion in a £100,000 deal from Scottish side Livingston last summer.
"It's great credit to the boy that he's earned a new contract," said Mowbray.
"This year he's taken huge strides and broken into the team and he warrants the contract that's been offered to him which he's more than happy to sign.
"Hopefully, if it's the start of his journey with Albion, it will be a long and successful one.
"He's showing he has the potential to be a decent footballer."
