Midfielder wants to keep starting role
Albion ace Graham Dorrans hopes to build on his wonder strike against Arsenal and take his fine form into the start of next season.
Dorrans has discovered the form which made him a hit in Albion’s promotion winning season after getting a run of games in Roy Hodgson’s final few fixtures in charge.
The Scotland international now wants to build on his end-of-season performances and hopes to impress Albion’s next head coach – whoever that may be.
"It was a good finish and so hopefully I can continue my form from these last seven games and take it into next season," he said.
"I've got myself back into the team and hopefully I can push myself and continue to try to get into the side next season.
"I feel a lot sharper now.
"I've been working hard with the physio and the staff to make sure I'm as strong as possible."
Dorrans suffered a frustrating start to Roy Hodgson’s reign as Albion boss after picking up a series of injuries. However, he revealed how the departing coach has played a significant role in finding his form again.
“The gaffer has been fantastic," he said.
"He was here under two years and the job he has done has been amazing.
"He thanked us for our efforts.
"Every head coach I've worked off I feel like I've learned from.
"People bring new ideas and new things that help.
"It was frustrating while he was head coach because I had a lot of niggly injuries.
"I got myself where I wanted to be for the last few games.
"Now I want to push myself on."
